Murree, the most developed and popular mountain station in Pakistan, is an hour's drive from Islamabad on a winding, high-quality Alpine road. The scenery is superb, the climate is cool in summer and crisp in winter, and the hotels are comfortable and reasonably priced. The location is especially known for honeymoon events.

When the British annexed the Punjab in 1849, they soon decided to set up a mountain station because it was conveniently located near the important military canton of Rawalpindi. It was actually founded in 1851 on pastureland of a ridge and developed rapidly.

Today it is Asia's leading hill country and crowded all year round. The long summer days are ideal for leisurely walks or ponies on a shaded path in the mall between Kashmir Point and Pindi Points. It is a jewel of a mountain station nestled in the shadow of snow-capped peaks. Galiyat has many beautiful and world famous mountain stations such as Nathiagali, Ghora Gali, Bhurban and Ayubia.

A Nathiagali highland is famous for its rolling valley and its majestic peaks. It is immaculate natural beauty that captivates travelers and tourists. This popular location is 2590 meters above sea level. On a clear day, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Nanga Parbat, the fifth highest peak in the world, at an altitude of 8126 meters (26,660 feet).

New Murree is also 15 km from the General Post Office of Murree. This project was carried out by the Government of Punjab. His goal is to create an alternative hill country for tourists.
